A brief conversation one evening back in 2012 changed everything for me. Wilmington’s only barcade to date, 1984 had just opened. Myself and a friend pitched the idea to the owners of putting on a weekly evening of 80s trivia at the bar. Global Thermonuclear War: 80s Trivia was born. If you happen to be an 80s trivia fan you’ll know that our name was a “War Games” reference. Our first night, the bar was half full. Week two, the bar was full. Week three, the bar and tables were packed. Around week five it was standing room only. Most importantly we were filling a bar that had a very modest opening. A little over a year later we started up 90s trivia which was also loads of fun. 

At some point in 2013 , two trivia regulars pitched me the idea of doing a bingo night at their yet to open bar right around the corner from 1984.  Wednesday nights in Wilmington would never be the same.
